China's women won the 2026 Asian Games team title, the country's fourteenth in a row, and arrive in Rotterdam with two individual world champions. They were fourth in the world team final in Antwerp in 2023 and sixth at the Paris Olympics. A world team medal is the target.

Squad

  • Zhang Qingying – world beam champion 2025
  • Qiu Qiyuan – world bars champion 2023
  • Zhang Yihan
  • Du Siyu
  • Ke Qinqin
  • Qin Xinyi – reserve

Strengths

China's scoring power is on uneven bars and balance beam. Qiu Qiyuan won the world bars title in 2023 and Olympic bars silver in Paris. Zhang Qingying won the world beam title in Jakarta in 2025 by 0.866, and took all-around bronze there. Few teams can match those two apparatus.

The question, as often for China, is vault and floor. That is where the United States, Brazil and Italy usually build their margins.

Late in the schedule

China compete in the very last qualification subdivision, at 21:10 on Monday 19 October. They will know exactly what every other team has scored, which can help or add pressure.

LA28 stakes

A top-three finish among eligible nations in the team final on 21 October would secure China's team place at the 2028 Olympics. See our LA28 qualification guide.
