Gymnastics for All

Gymnastics for every age and ability, with or without competition.

Gymnastics for All

Gymnastics for All is the broadest discipline in the sport. It covers recreational gymnastics for children and adults, fitness classes, display teams and large group performances at festivals. For most people who do gymnastics, this is the gymnastics they do.

What it includes

- Recreational classes for children and adults. - Display groups that create choreographed routines for shows and festivals. - Gymnastics-based fitness and health programmes. - International festivals, such as the World Gymnaestrada and the Golden Age Gym Festival for people aged 50 and over.

Why it matters

Gymnastics for All is about participation, health and community. It gives people a reason to keep moving, learn skills and share the experience with others, without the pressure of rankings.

How to get involved

Many gymnastics clubs run adult and family classes. Our guide to starting gymnastics as an adult explains what to look for, and the guide on choosing a club for your child covers children's programmes.
