The men's all-around final at the World Championships in Rotterdam starts at 19:30 local time on Thursday 22 October. Twenty-four gymnasts, no more than two per nation, compete on all six apparatus. Qualification scores do not carry over.

The top qualifiers

| Qualified | Gymnast | Nation | Qualification total | |---|---|---|---| | 1 | Shinnosuke Oka | Japan | 85.098 | | 2 | Daiki Hashimoto | Japan | 84.632 | | 3 | Arsenii Dukhno | WG2 | 83.866 | | 4 | Jake Jarman | Great Britain | 83.698 | | 5 | Yang Haonan | China | 83.464 | | 6 | Illia Kovtun | Croatia | 83.099 | | 7 | Joe Fraser | Great Britain | 83.065 | | 8 | Ángel Barajas | Colombia | 82.831 |

Japan's Shohei Kawakami was fourth in qualification on 83.699 but is not in the final, because Oka and Hashimoto ranked ahead of him.

The Japanese pair

Oka is the Olympic all-around champion from Paris 2024. Hashimoto won the world title in Jakarta in 2025 and is the defending champion. In qualification, Oka's 0.466 lead came largely from horizontal bar, where Hashimoto fell and scored 13.700 to Oka's 14.500. In Tuesday's team final Hashimoto competed on all six apparatus and scored 14.866 on horizontal bar.

The challengers

Dukhno had the best floor score of qualification, 14.700, and scored 14.500 on floor in the team final. Jarman's vault, 14.900 in qualification and 14.866 in the team final, is the strongest of any all-arounder. Kovtun led parallel bars in qualification with 14.900, and Barajas scored 14.900 on horizontal bar in the team final, the best on that apparatus. Fred Richard of the United States qualified 11th with 82.098.

What decides an all-around final

With six apparatus and no dropped scores, the gymnast with the fewest big deductions usually wins. In qualification the gap from first to eighth was 2.267, more than the cost of a fall. Among the top eight, the widest spread was on pommel horse, from 13.133 to 14.533, and the narrowest on parallel bars, where all eight scored between 14.300 and 14.900.

Results will be posted on our Rotterdam 2026 hub after the final. Profiles: Oka, Hashimoto, Jarman, Kovtun.
