Exercise composition
  •  
Each exercise requires a minimum number of elements (taken from the Table of Difficulty) to meet the basic requirement for competition
  •  
Elements include pairs or groups, and individual gymnastics elements.
  •  
Once the basic requirement has been met, additional difficulty can be added to increase the value of the exercise.
  •  
Technical deductions for performance are taken from a score of 10
  •  
Artistry from a score of 10.
  •  
Additional difficulty added to the performers final score.

 
Balance exercise
The exercise must demonstrate strength, balance, flexibility and agility, with two or more partners in contact all the time during the performance of the element, which may be static (held in position) or moving (motion). Maximum duration 2.30 minutes, (penalty for exceeding)


Pairs
Minimum requirement, 6 balance elements, and 3 individual balance elements


Groups
2 elements, 4 individual elements (1.00 penalty for each missing element). Static pair and group elements are held for 3 seconds, (penalty 0.3 for each missing second. Individual balance elements must be held for 2 seconds. Motion elements must show a static position at the end of the motion of 1 second.
 
Dynamic exercise

Maximum duration 2.30 minutes (penalty for exceeding)

Minimum requirement for pairs and groups, 6 elements and 3 dynamic individual elements (1.00 penalty for each missing element).
  •  
The exercise must demonstrate flight from throws, pitches, and catches. Tumbling elements including somersaults (saltos) are characteristic.
  •  
The characteristics of dynamic elements are that the contact between partners is brief and that flight is involved.
 
Combined exercise

Maximum duration 2.30 minutes (penalty for exceeding)
  •  
Minimum requirement for pairs. 3 Balance elements and 3 Dynamic elements. 2 individual balance elements and 2 individual Dynamic elements (1.00 penalty for each missing element). Groups, women and men, are required, for the Balance exercise ,1 group Pyramid [with three balance element] 3 Dynamic elements, 2 individual balance elements and 2 Dynamic elements.
