Tribute to Klaus Lotz, President of the European Union of gymnastics (UEG) from 1993 to 2004.

Before introducing the new topic of  the UEG Newsletters for the year 2014 which will be the beginning of the new cycle 2014-2017 and a focus on the UEG authorities which were famous athletes participating in Olympic Games and World Championships, let us have a look back and remember the second President of the European Union of Gymnastics, Mr. Klaus Lotz.


Klaus Lotz passed away in the night from Tuesday 17th to Wednesday 18th of December 2013 at the age of 78 and the funeral service was held on December 23rd, 2013; it was a private ceremony and only his family was present.
The European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) lost a former President as well as an Honorary President.
Klaus Lotz was one of the great figures of the European Union of Gymnastics involved in the creation of the European Union of Gymnastics in 1982.
A great man has left us...
