The UEG President Georges Guelzec, the UEG vice-President in charge of Sport Ruedi Hediger and the TC Presidents met today and tomorrow (November 7th and 8th, 2012) to discuss some of subjects. This is the second time that we organise such a meeting after a first successful experience in 2011. This meeting takes place in St Omer in France.
The President's Board met today to discuss some of subjects which will be treated whithin the next months.

The UEG wants to inform its Member Federations that due to negative experiences at former events the UEG Executive Committee has made the following decision at its last meeting held in Lausanne, on January 27th and 28th, 2012, in case a mobile phone or any other electronic communication device should be used during the European Championships: If a mobile phone or any other electronic communication device should be used on the field of play during the entire competitions of the European Championships, the person concerned (gymnast, coach, etc.) will be immediately expelled. The gymnasts will not be ranked and will not be authorised to participate in the remaining competitions. If this rule is violated by a coach, all his gymnast will also be expelled ! Please note that this decision will be applied for the first time at the European Championships Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Tramp 2012 in St. Petersburg.
At the meeting of the UEG Executive Committee held in Lausanne last January, the organisation of the election congress 2013 was attributed to the federation of Slovenia. The various meetings and the general assembly will take place in Portorose.
This is an information, a reminder for our 48 member federations of the European Union of Gymnastics. A letter from the International Gymnastics Federation was sent at the beginning of October 2011 to the FIG affiliated federations giving some information about the 2012 Council which be held in May in Saint-Petersburg/RUS. We remind you that the 2013 FIG Council will be allocated during the 2012 Council and that it should in principle be hosted by an UEG Federation ; So, we invite our member federations, if they are interested, to send their bid file directly to the FIG before the end of January. Russia (womens trio and mens four), Belgium (mixed pair), Belarus (womens pair) and Bulgaria (men's 4) are the new title holder 2009.
Thursday evening, the Junior Team Finals took place in the ARENA FYN of Odense. 5 out of 6 medals go to Russian teams. The only gold medal that will not travel to Russia goes to Great Britain whose tumbling girls could beat the main favourite.
