He visited the European Games in Baku (AZE) to observe the new format and evaluate it with his colleagues. UEG took him to the training hall to see if he still got his skills on rings and he didn’t disappoint!

Preview of the trampoline and aerobic gymnastics competition at the 1st European Games!

The trampoline competition combines the Olympic individual and the non-Olympic synchro, who will compete in alternation with the mixed pairs and groups of aerobic gymnastics. In Trampoline a total of 53 athletes (27 men and 26 women including 11 synchro pairs each) and in aerobics up to 10 mixed pairs and 11 groups will compete, from 17 to 21 June, at the National Gymnastics Arena

The Olympic discipline of rhythmic gymnastics will compete together with the non-Olympic acrobatic gymnastics. In Rhythmic gymnastics 99 female athletes are represented (21 individual and 13 groups) and in acrobatics 51 athletes (9 mixed pairs and 11 women’s groups) will compete, from 17 to 21 June, at the National Gymnastics Arena

D-Day -500! From June 12th to 28th, 2015, the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, will be the host of the first European Games. More than 5000 athletes representing 49 countries are expected and will compete in 18 different disciplines. The European Union of Gymnastics will participate with 6 disciplines and will represent one of the most important sports.

Based on the positive feedbacks of its member federations and after a lively discussion at the last meeting of its Executive Committee, the European Union of Gymnastics voted in favour of the integration of Gymnastics in the first edition of the European Games provided that all UEG conditions are accepted and that our Championships are included respecting the current technical formats.
