UEG strengthens its relations with the European Apparatus suppliers pool

February 13, 2018

The extension of the contract has been signed on a long-term base

On 17 January, UEG President Farid Gayibov and General Director Lisa Worthmann met with UEG’s official apparatus suppliers Janssen Fritsen, Spieth Gymnastics, Gymnova and Eurotramp in Lausanne for a constructive meeting in a friendly atmosphere. Confirming the good cooperation that started with the creation of the supplier’s pool in 2010 under then-President Georges Guelzec, all parties are convinced of the future opportunities and benefits for all UEG member federations.

Adapted and extended to cement a long-term partnership, the contract will last until 2024. The conditions are favourable and enable the UEG to further extend the support given to the UEG member federations by way of apparatus donations as well as reduced apparatus prices for the organisers of European Championships.

UEG President Farid Gayibov underlines the importance of unity: “We have worked well together in the past and now it is time to take our intentions to the next level. By providing more favourable conditions for our members, we aim to increase the popularity of our sport throughout Europe. This can only be done by working together.”
