Special Olympics Gymnasts presented a beautiful show at the European Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships - Brussels/BEL

Georges Guelzec, President of the European Union of Gymnastics and Mary Davis, Managing Director of "Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia" had met at the UEG office in Lausanne in March, 2011......to conclude and thus sign a PROCLAMATION between their two entities.
Based upon this agreement, it was important to create and develop links.
Initially, "Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia" wanted to present a show during one of the UEG Championships. Mister Damentko, Sports director of "Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia", evoked what they had already realized in swimming and bowling and underlined that he really wished to introduce this type of spectacular performances in the frame work of UEG events.
Georges Guelzec had explained that it would be difficult to coordinate the introduction of this kind of performance in the coming weeks but remained confident on the fact that solutions will be found in the second half-year 2011, by reminding that "there are many things to do together".
It is now done since during the European Women’s Artistic Gymnastics championships, which took place in Brussels/BEL last May, "Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia" had the possibility to present a demonstration for the great pleasure of the present spectators in the competition hall.
