Rhythmic coaches discuss future development

June 1, 2018

In the framework of the European Championships in Guadalajara

An initiative started this year by UEG President Farid Gayibov, UEG invites all participating federations to a Coaches’ Round Table meeting on the eve of the European Championships. The aim is to brainstorm and discuss the possibilities to further improve and promote each discipline.

For Rhythmic gymnastics, 22 federations attended the meeting, sending a mix of heads of delegations and coaches. The meeting was led by UEG General Director Lisa Worthmann, President Farid Gayibov and TC President Maria Petrova. Several topics were discussed: junior and senior events, the competition calendar and possible changes in competition formats. Proposals were presented and talked through.

The UEG encourages this exchange of ideas and hopes to involve all interested parties to develop a long-term plan.
