40 National Federations registered their gymnasts

A total of 635 gymnasts from 40 National Federations have signed up for this summer’s Artistic Gymnastics European Championships in Glasgow (GBR). For the first time it will be part of the joint European Championships, which combines 7 sports in 2 cities.

UEG hosts two events: the 32nd Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Europeans, from 2 to 5 August, followed by the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Europeans, from 9 to 12 August. Both will be held in Glasgow’s SSE Hydro, venue of the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 World Championships.

Women

The first week of the event, the junior and senior female gymnasts will light up the arena. In the junior competition, 147 gymnasts from 37 federations will participate. Slightly more senior registered: 156, also from 37 federations.

Men

The men’s competition seems more popular for juniors with 172 gymnasts from an impressive 39 federations signed up. The seniors clocked off at 160 gymnasts from 37 countries!
