Liege prepares for EUROGYM

UEG’s Gymnastics for All Technical Committee met with the EUROGYM 2018 organisers

The representatives of the UEG and the LOC, led by Christophe Dortu, visited several locations in the Belgian city, including sites of the city performances, gala and the ceremonies. Aiming to have a record participation of 5000 teenagers and get the whole city involved, the town and the region already promised their full support.

TC President Alberto Claudino (POR) praised the city and the LOC: “Liege is the perfect city for an event like EUROGYM. It has the right size and an exceptional historical setting.” On the programme of the bi-annual event are a street parade, opening and closing ceremonies, city performances, the UEG Gala and cultural and social activities.

An information meeting for all delegations will be held on May 13 in Liege.

The first European Gym for Life Challenge is scheduled on Saturday 14 July while EUROGYM 2018 will be held from Saturday 14 to Friday 20 July.
