Liège committed to organise extraordinary EUROGYM 2018

August 3, 2016

The Belgian delegation delivered an inspiring presentation in Ceske Budejovice

Led by Christophe Dortu, Head of Delegation at EUROGYM 2016 and head of the 2018 Organising Committee, the Belgian delegation left a great impressions on the many people that attended the 2018 presentation in Ceske Budejovice.

With a goal of 5000 participants, the LOC is ambitious but says it can’t do without the support of the local community so efforts to promote the event and get locals interested have already started.

As Liège is a relatively big city –population of approx. 200000!- the organisers are keen to keep the 4 stages in the center of the town to allow for easy circulation between them, keep everything in walking distance and attract a good crowd.

Each participant can join 4 workshops and 1 city orienteering to get to know the city. Each group gets to perform twice on one of the stages in Liege and also has the opportunity to perform an extra time in one of the neighbouring cities Aachen (GER) or Maastricht (NED). Party, fireworks or a concert are scheduled every evening.

A very important addition to the calendar is the European Gym for Life Challenge! After a successful test in Helsingborg in 2014, the first official challenge will take place on Saturday 14 July, the day before EUROGYM starts.

What you need to know:

-          1st European Gym for Life Challenge: Saturday 14 July 2018

-          11th EUROGYM: Saturday 14 to Friday 20 July 2018

-          In Liège, Belgium!

The enthusiasm and experience of the LOC guarantees an event you don’t want to miss … See you in Liege!
