Kundius wins her first Trampoline World Cup title

May 2, 2018

The Trampoline World Cup season started in Brescia (ITA)

Russia’s Irina Kundius beat her Chinese rivals to win her first ever World Cup gold medal last weekend in the Italian city of Brescia. European Champion Yana Pavlova qualified to the final in second place but faltered in the final. The rest of the titles went to China who participated with a star-studded team including World and Olympic Champion Dong Dong. The star won the individual title ahead of Belarus’s Aleh Rabtsau and Russia’s Andrey Yudin. He then paired with Xiao Tu to show their strength in the synchro competition. The former World Champions held off their nearest rivals by almost three points! Their compatriots Xueying Zhu and Shouli Zhu won the women’s synchro final but with less of an advantage over European Champions Hanna Hancharova and Maria Makharynskaya.
