Interesting topics discussed at round table meeting for coaches

April 15, 2018

Held for the first time here in Baku

One of the main goals of UEG President Farid Gayibov is to involve the federations, coaches and gymnasts more, valuing their input for future UEG decisions. To ensure the exchange of ideas Mr. Gayibov initiated a round table for coaches in order to give the coaches a platform to inform UEG on their concerns and wishes for the future of their discipline.

At the 26th European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling, the UEG invited all participating nations for the first round table meeting for coaches. 18 countries sent representatives. The one-hour-long meeting could have easily been extended.  Among other topics the discussions went around possible future event formats, sports presentation, competition planning and infrastructure.

This meeting was the kick-off of a series of coaches’ round table meetings which will now also take place at all following European Championships in 2018.
