EUROGYM entices local and national media

December 7, 2017

At a press conference in Liege (BEL)

Led by Christophe Dortu, President of the Local Organising Committee, the Belgian Gymnastics Federation welcomed representatives of the local and national media and of the political world to a press conference aimed at informing them about the wonderful event that EUROGYM is. Scheduled to be held in Liege (BEL) from 15 to 19 July, the organisers talked about the programme, the different social and cultural activities and the special evenings: street parade, Opening Ceremony, UEG Gala and Closing ceremony. Gymnasts from all over Europe will colour the streets of Liege so the cooperation of the local authorities and inhabitants plus the coverage in local media is crucial for the success of this event.

The provisional registration went well: 160 groups represented by 4111 participants from 16 countries expressed their interest to participate! As is usual for EUROGYM, the gymnasts, aged between 12 and 18, will stay in schools and will perform on various stages scattered throughout the city center so that locals and tourists can enjoy the fun.

With the fitting slogan ‘Let’s dream together!’ we hope to welcome you in July in Liège (BEL) for a true celebration of Gymnastics and its role in creating social and cultural exchanges across our continent!
