Decisions of the Executive Committee

of European Gymnastics

On 29 and 30 June, the Executive Committee of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) met in Lausanne (SUI) for its second meeting of 2018. Led by President Farid Gayibov (AZE), the debates have resulted in the following official decisions and information:

  • The 2017 accounts have been finalised and approved by the Control Authorities whose President Catalin Manu (ROU) presented them to the EC.
  • The budget and strategy for the development programme has been approved. The initiative is now launched. All necessary information will be send by UEG to the National Federations.
  • The 2020 Golden Age Gym Festival has been awarded to Rethymno on the Greek island of Crete. The 7th edition of this Gymnastics for All Festival for gymnasts aged 50+ will be held from 28 September to 4 October 2020.
  • The 9th individual European Championships in Artistic Gymnastics 2021 have been awarded to Basel (SUI). This competition will be held from 21 to 25 April 2021 in the St-Jakobs Hall.
  • Following the Technical meeting, the UEG Technical regulations were updated. The new version will be published shortly.
  • A call for hosts is open for the following UEG events: 2019 Aerobics European Championships and the 2021 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics, Acrobatic Gymnastics and Aerobics.   

The next President’s Board and Executive Committee meetings will be held in Skopje (MKD) from 4 to 6 October 2018.
