Decisions of the Executive Committee

Of European Gymnastics

On 30 November, the current Executive Committee of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) held its final meeting of this cycle, on the eve of the electoral Congress in Split (CRO). It was the last meeting under the direction of President Georges Guelzec (FRA) who will step down after 8 years leading the Union.

The debates have resulted in the following official decisions and information:

·       The 2020 European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling have been awarded to Gothenburg (SWE), to be held from 7 to 10 May 2020.

·       The 2020 TeamGym Europeans will be held in Copenhagen (DEN) in October 2020. Exact dates to be confirmed soon.

·       EUROGYM 2020 have been provisionally attributed to Reykjavik (ISL), awaiting a site visit by the Gymnastics for All Technical Committee to fully approve. The dates are scheduled as 10 to 17 July 2020.

·       A call for hosts is open for the following UEG events: 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships (deadline 10 December), 2019 Aerobics European Championships, 2020 Golden Age Gym Festival and 2020 Trampoline European Age Group Competitions.  

UEG thanks the Executive Committee members for their hard work the past 4 years and wishes them all the best for the future, and for those going for re-election, good luck on Saturday!

The dates of the next meeting, the first of the new UEG authorities, will be decided on Saturday 2 December 2017 by the new EC.
