The TeamGym ECh is one of the most recent UEG events and takes place every even-numbered year; the first official competition was held in Finland in 1996.
TeamGym is a team competition and consist of three sections: women, men and mixed teams.
TeamGym competitions exhibit gymnastic skills in three different disciplines; floor, tumbling and trampet. In common for the performance is effective teamwork, good technique in the element and spectacular acrobatic elements. The TeamGym competition characterizes of a very good spirit and atmosphere. The event is attractive for spectators and media as well as sponsors.

There are three sections in the Senior Competition and three in the Junior Competition; men’s, women’s and mixed teams. Each team must perform 3 disciplines: floor programme, tumbling and trampet.
A gymnast may only compete for one team.
In the senior’s category, each Federation may enter one team per section, in the junior’s category also one team per section. A team consists of 6 - 12 male / female gymnasts with 2 reserves. In all disciplines, all performing gymnasts are judged. A mixed team must consist to 50% of male and to 50% of female gymnasts.
Age of the gymnasts:
Seniors: the minimum age is 16 years (born in 1996 or before)
Juniors: minimum age 13 years, maximum age 17 years (born between 1995 and 1999)
