9th European TeamGym Championships in Aarhus/DEN: let it start !

In a modern sports complex located 10 minutes from the downtown of Aarhus, the gymnasts took over the venue to train in the three disciplines belonging to TeamGym.

The gymnasts are getting familiarised with the training and competition halls, getting ready for the qualifications starting tomorrow afternoon.

 

The heads of delegations and officials of the organising committee and the UEG were invited to a reception at the town hall before getting together at Ridehuset, beautiful site just next door, to have dinner together with all delegations. This site is booked until the end of the week for the dinners of all participants while lunch is served directly at the competition venue.

 

 

At 8 pm the opening ceremony of the 9th European Teamgym Championships started with three official speeches, held by the president of the local organising committee, the Mayor of Aarhus and the president of the UEG TeamGym technical committee, followed by a nice show including urban dances and acrobatic performances.

 

Finally, the day was rounded off with the official orientation meeting: general information meeting where the UEG TC and the LOC gave all necessary information to the representatives of all participating nations.
