After the Men’s European championships in 1990 and the World championships in 1997, the city of Lausanne will host in the Sports Centre of Malley from 8 to 11 May the 28th  the 28th European Championships in men’s artistic gymnastics.

These championships should show very interesting performances for the public, as the great majority of the European elite will be present in Malley. In 2006, in Volos, the title of the senior’s team was awarded to Russia, in front of Romania and Belarus. Because of the internal qualifications for the Olympic Games, some teams had to choose a tactic, which considers the ranking by teams as well as of the specialists. This means that the prognostics are really open.

3 World champions awarded in 2007 in Stuttgart : Fabian Hambuechen GER (horizontal bar), Mitja Petkovsek  SLO (parallel bars) and Leszek Blanik POL (vault).
