The UEG wishes to all the Internet users an excellent year 2012, rich in gymnastics’ and sports events, year which will celebrate its 30th birthday.Effectively, as reminds Professor Bruno Grandi in his PRESIDENT'S NEWSLETTER - FIG N° 57 - January, 2012, it is in 1982 that the European continental union was founded. The founder president was Pierre Chabloz (1916 – 2008). Invitations were sent to all the European member federations of FIG.
27th and 28th March: constituent meeting in Luxembourg with 15 countries: Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Great-Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Federal Republic of Germany, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey.
6th and 7th July in Zurich: election of the first UEG Authorities.
Then, the FIG Executive Committee met with UEG representatives in Zagreb in order to proceed to an official acknowledgement.

28th European Championships od Rhythmic Gymnastics
for individual juniors and seniors groups
May 29th to June 03rd 2012 - Nijni Novgorod (RUS)
8th Eurogym
July 14th to 20th 2012 - Coimbra (POR)
3rd Golden Age Gym Festival
September 30th to October 06th 2012 - Montecatini (ITA)
9th European Championships in TeamGym
October 18th to 20th 2012 - Aarhus (DEN)
Without forgetting the Olympic Games in London next August where we will support the participation of a large number of our European gymnasts.
